AI steps
Four steps ask Neo, the AI assistant, to read, classify or decide. They are ordinary steps with one difference: they spend AI credits.
The steps
Link to this section: The steps| Step | What it does | Gives back |
|---|---|---|
| «Ask the AI» | Asks a question about the data of your account, optionally searching the web too. It only reads: it never changes anything. | The answer, as text |
| «Classify with AI» | Reads a text or a situation and chooses one category from a list you write (a label and when it applies). It can also search the web, if you turn that on. | The chosen label, its reasoning and a confidence |
| «Is it true that…?» | Decides whether a statement is true. It can also search the web, if you turn that on. | A true/false verdict, its reasoning and a confidence. A statement it cannot check from the data comes back false with low confidence, so false does not always mean it is false |
| «Search the web» | Searches the web. | Its results |
In the palette they carry the chip «AI», with the tooltip «Uses the account's AI credits when it runs».
Routing on the answer
Link to this section: Routing on the answer- «Is it true that…?» adds two linked blocks: the AI step and a «Condition» that already reads the verdict.
- «Classify with AI» adds the AI step and a «Switch» with a branch per category, plus a default. A new classifier starts with three sample categories (in Spanish, whatever the language of the app: Baja, Normal and Alta) and a question that is already filled in. If you change the categories afterwards, the branches are not rebuilt; a label without a branch goes to the default.
What they cost
Link to this section: What they cost- An AI step costs the one execution credit of any action step, plus AI credits for the tokens it used. The run viewer shows credits, never tokens.
- A step without AI is charged once per position even if the run is retried. An AI step is charged on every attempt, because every attempt really spent tokens.
- Before each action step, not only an AI one, the engine checks that the company has credits left. If they are used up, or if there is a payment problem, the run is paused, not failed. If workflow execution has been switched off for the company, the step fails instead. See Limits and credits.
- A few other actions also spend AI credits: creating a chart, a dashboard or a report in analytics, analyzing an email for an order, and building a project proposal PDF.
Check what they return
Link to this section: Check what they returnDo not automate irreversible steps from a free-text answer
Neo's answer is free text, and Filmo does not verify it. If a workflow acts on it, put a person or a condition in between: the templates that use Neo hand the answer to a human in a task, a chat message or an email.
Many templates use Neo, among them the daily brief of departures and returns and the summary of every incoming email. See Templates.

Limits and credits
Each limit below is enforced by the engine. The last column says what happens when you reach it, because that is usually the question.

Conditions and operators
A condition compares one variable with one value. The Condition step sends the run down one of two paths; the Switch step picks the first of several.

Templates
A template is a ready-made workflow. Choosing one gives you a draft with the trigger and steps already in place and the blanks that are yours to fill in. Nothing runs until you publish it.
