Prompts and recipes

Prompts for an assistant connected to Filmo, from quick lookups to chores that take several calls.

An assistant picks the tools by itself. Name the record, the dates and what you want back, and it needs fewer calls and fewer guesses. These prompts are examples with fictitious data; use your own words and your own records.

Which orders start tomorrow, and for which customers? Soonest first.
Are two units of this lens free from 15 to 17 January? If not, who has them?
Show the unpaid invoices that are more than 30 days old, with their customers and amounts.

These call filmo_orders_list, filmo_availability_check and filmo_invoices_list. All three only read.

From enquiry to draft order
A new customer, Northwind Studio, wants two cinema camera bodies from 15 to 17 January. Check they are free, create the customer if it does not exist, create a draft order and leave a note saying they pick up at the north door. Ask me before you write anything.
  1. filmo_contacts_lookup

Looks for the customer by email before creating a duplicate.

  2. filmo_availability_check

Checks the units for those dates. The availability tools have their own quota of 30 calls a minute.

  3. filmo_contacts_create

Creates the customer, if there was none. A write: your client should ask.

  4. filmo_orders_create

Creates the order in draft. It takes no prices; the team prices it in the app.

  5. filmo_notes_create

Leaves the pick-up note on the order.

Incidents of a department
List the open incidents for the camera department and, for each, the item it affects and how long it has been open.
The week ahead
What is on the calendar between Monday and Friday, and which crew members are free on Wednesday?

filmo_ai_ask answers a question about the account's data in natural language. It spends AI credits and can search the web, so it is not on any preset and asks for confirmation; see Safe writes.

Which customers rented the most last quarter, and what did they rent?
  • Ask for limit 20 and a filter in the same sentence: a list of hundreds of rows spends your context. See Limits and context.
  • Ask the assistant to show you what it is about to write before it writes it.
  • Tell it which record you mean by its number or name; identifiers are opaque and it should not guess them.
  • Start a new conversation after you change scopes or the key: an old one can keep a stale tool list.

    Safe writes

An assistant that can write can also write the wrong thing. Decide which tools need a person, retry without duplicating, and know what a write sets in motion.

    Limits and context

The catalogue is large. Choose scopes so the client lists only the tools it needs, and ask for small pages.
