# From another workflow

> Starts when another workflow chains it. You declare the input fields it expects; it cannot be started by hand or through the API.

More in [Triggers](https://docs.filmo.io/workflows/triggers).

## Fields you declare

Each declared field is described by these properties.

**Fields you declare**

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `name` | string | Yes | Identifier of the field; it names the variable `trigger_<name>`. |
| `label` | string | Yes | Label shown in the dialog. |
| `type` | type | Yes | The declared shape of the value; it is validated against this type. |

- Field names cannot be repeated.
- The trigger itself publishes the reserved names.
- The run's payload is validated against the declared fields: all of them are required.

Reserved names: `createdAt`, `createdBy`. A name starts with a letter or an underscore and continues with letters, digits or underscores.
