# Glossary

> The app and the website use everyday rental words; the API uses resource names. This page maps one to the other, and gives the English and Spanish terms side by side.

## From the app and the website to the API

If you know a thing by its everyday name, this table gives the name the API uses for it. The paths are the resource collections of the API.

| Booking, reservation, rental | orders | "Reserve" is the action `reserveOrder`. |
| Crew, crew member | staff |  |
| Gear, equipment | items (and serialized items) |  |
| Sub-rental | subrents |  |

| Warehouse | Space (`/spaces`) | Spaces are warehouses that manage stock and rentable spaces, told apart by `isWarehouse`. |
| Fleet | Vehicle (`/vehicles`) | The delivery vehicle fleet. |
| Opportunity | Opportunity (`/crm/opportunities`) | Needs the CRM add-on. |
| Incident | Incident (`/incidents`) | Needs the incidence add-on. A repair ticket (`/repair-tickets`) is the maintenance work. |
| Workflow | Workflow (`/workflows`) | The API can list workflows and start a run of a workflow that has a manual trigger. |

## Domain terms in English and Spanish

The documentation is published in both languages. These are the equivalents used in the Spanish version of these docs. The Filmo app itself is available in Spanish, English, French, German, Catalan and Polish.

## API terms

| Term | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Scope | A permission of an API key, such as `orders:read`. It bounds which operations the key may call. |
| Cursor | The opaque value that points to the next page of a list. Pass it back unchanged. |
| Idempotency key | A value you choose, sent in `Idempotency-Key`, so a retried write does not run twice. |
| ETag | The tag of a representation, sent back in `If-Match` to avoid overwriting a change you have not seen. |
| Add-on | A module that is contracted separately, such as CRM. Without it, its operations answer 402. |
| Business time zone | The IANA time zone of the account, in which bare days are read. |
